Course Overview:

Woodworkers are comfortable around tools and construction. A lot of us struggle to understand the world of finishing. The woodworkers from Woodsmith and Popular Woodworking understand that struggle. We face it every day in our home shops. In this course, we'll share our favorite finishes, how to set up a space for finishing (even if your shop is small), techniques & tips for success, and how to get your projects ready for finishing (sanding). We’re also going to share some projects you can build for your shop! Join Phil, Logan, Marc, Rob, and John to improve your finishing skills and turn out great-looking projects.

Everything You Need to Know:

What finishes are covered? Tung oil, shellac, water-based, and home-brewed wax finishes
What skill level is required? Applying a great-looking finish is for everyone. This course sets the foundation for projects you can be proud of.
How much gear do I need? Not much. You can find brushes and other supplies at any home center or craft store. Some finishes even work best with an old t-shirt.
Do I need a dedicated space? Nope. You can get started right in your workshop with a fan set up for good airflow.
